Published by Keeping Children Safe

This is a series of case management resources for child protection networks in Nigeria. Case management is a structured approach to child protection, providing a process of response for protecting children subject to, or at, risk of harm.
The resources were made as part of Keeping Children Safe’s 16-month contract with UNICEF Nigeria to strengthen Nigeria’s child protection networks in 22 states.
There is a manual for trainers and one for participants. Both manuals provide the trainer and participants with:
  • The child rights context of child protection with regard to case management
  • An overview of how to implement case management and the processes, skills and resources required for effective action.
The trainer is provided with activity plans detailing how to run training activities, as well as the information to provide to trainees. These resources are specific to Nigeria but could be adapted for use elsewhere.
