New webinar: Child Safeguarding Accountability Mechanisms in Jordan

The webinar on Child Safeguarding Accountability Mechanisms in Jordan - Challenges and Good Practices will be delivered by our full member Plan International Jordan, for all the KCS network members. The presenter of this webinar will be Hamida Jahamah, Senior Child Protection Specialist at Plan International Jordan. 

The webinar learning points will include:

  • Accountability mechanisms in camps and community levels
  • Overcoming challenges in accountability mechanisms
  • How Plan international Jordan implemented child safeguarding best practices at Early Childhood Development centres
  • The importance of capacity building for national partners on child protection and safeguarding systems.

About the presenters:

Hamida Jahamah - Currently the Senior Child Protection Specialist at Plan International Jordan, where she has established the child protection, child safeguarding and GBV portfolio particularly on Child labour, early marriage and gender equality. She holds an interdisciplinary MA degree in Applied Linguistics and Human Rights from Essex University. She has previously worked at Save the Children and the UN Women in the Child Protection field for six years. During her time with Save the Children, she was part of the Syrian Emergency Response. She has also worked in in the Zaatari Camp - one of the largest refugee camps in the world - where she provided child protection prevention and response mechanisms.
