Safeguarding and Sport
Keeping Children Safe is working with NSPCC, UNICEF UK, Right to Play, Commonwealth Institute, International Development for Sport, amongst others, to develop a set of standards around safeguarding children in sport.
A workshop will be held during the Beyond Sport Summit where participants will work together to finalise a draft set of standards around safeguarding children in sport, and then explore what it will take to implement these standards within an organisation. Invitations have gone out to a cross-section of participants – from young people who play sport, to sport for development organisations, to international federations, to donors and sponsors – and from a range of countries.
It is anticipated the network will build after the workshop to see how organisations are implementing the standrads and bring feedback together to revise the standards based on practical experience. If this is an area the interests you please get in touch info@keepingchildrensafe.org.uk.
Please note funding is not avaliable to attend this workshop.
